Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks follow periods of air raids in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
